Welcome to the official website of the Jackson (TN) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the 38th President of this remarkable chapter. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead alongside an exceptional Executive Committee and dedicated members as we continue the legacy established by our Founders and the courageous women who chartered our chapter on April 25, 1945.
The Jackson (TN) Alumnae chapter was chartered on April 25, 1945, by ten courageous women. In the spirit of sisterhood, the chapter continues to follow in the footsteps of the Sorority’s Founders and charter members by implementing programs according to the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement
As we begin this new administration, our focus is captured in one simple phrase:
STRONGER TOGETHER
Guided by the principles of Unity, Growth, Transparency, and Sisterhood, we are committed to strengthening relationships, expanding community impact, developing leaders, and ensuring every member feels valued, heard, and empowered to serve.
Whether you are visiting our website for the first time, are a returning Soror, or one of our valued community partners, we invite you to explore our programs, connect with us, and join us as we continue making a meaningful difference throughout our service area.
We welcome all members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (active or inactive) to worship, fellowship, and serve with us. Chapter meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on the first Saturday of each month, September through June.
